Relax and unwind while Sailing in Ocean County New Jersey during a three hour sail aboard the beautiful Hunter 44’ Sailing Yacht, Express Mail.

The fun begins when you meet your Captain, a US Coast Guard Master Captain. You and up to five of your guests will then board the Express Mail to begin your NJ sailing adventure. Sit back while basking in the warm summer sunshine as the Yacht coasts through the tranquil waters. Breathe in the fresh air and take in the enchanting sights along the majestic shore. You may also lend a hand and take the wheel on the Toms River and Barnegat Bay!

The Barnegat Bay NJ Sailing is offered seven days a week June thru September, subject to availability.

How Long Is It

The Barnegat Bay Sails have a sail time of approximately 3 hours and a total duration of approximately 3½ hours.

Weather

The New Jersey Barnegat Bay Sailing may be rescheduled by the Captain due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably, flat, non-marking rubber-soled shoes and layers are recommended for this sailing adventure.

Sails take place on a Hunter 44 which is skippered by a USCG-licensed captain and crew. Participation in the Miami Sailing Experience is limited to individuals 3 years of age or older.

Snacks and Soft Drinks are provided and you may also bring your own food, wine or beer onboard. (Please do not bring large coolers.)

While motion sickness is possible, it is unlikely and can be reduced by avoiding heavy meal(s) prior to the scheduled sail. All passengers must sign a release form.

Relaxing Time on the River and Bay

Captain Mike was nice and mellow and his boat was very nice. The time sped by as we relaxed and watched all the other boats on the water.

We picked our sail date on a stormy day, Captain Mike did everything to accommodate us, while we didn't go in original time slot, we did get out that day. The skies cleared up and we had a wonderful sail. Captain Mike was warm, optimistic and ready to go! We had a great day and would recommend for all.

The original sail was rescheduled due to inclement weather and occurred on 7/23. The handling was great.....the captain most proficient and hospitable. He did a marvelous job. The only suggestion is to PERHAPS expand the sail to include pointing out some notable sights (if there are any) and providing some charts/maps to show the route. The first hour is new, so getting adjusted and just taking things in was okay, but as the sail went on, there seem to be a need for more than just circling the bay. But it was great.

The trip from beginning to end was great fun, having not been sailing before I did not know what to expect. The previailing winds were constant and all the family had a chance to take the helm. It was quite an experience learning how much attention to detail is necessary to stay on course.

Question: I would like to take my wife on this sail for our anniversary, may I bring a bottle of wine for my wife and I?

Answer: Water and Soft Drinks are provided, and you may bring your own food, wine or beer on board. The captain asks that you do not bring large coolers, but a smaller personal cooler, cooler bag or picnic basket is acceptable.
Question: Can you clarify this? The ad states the price is for 2 participants. However it also states you can have up to 5 guests? Are the guests included in the price also? What is the difference between the 2 participants and their guests?

Answer: The Barnegat Bay NJ Sailing experience is a private sailing trip for up to five passengers. The captain will take your party out on the Bay for approximately 3 hours. The price of the trip is the same for up to a total of up to 5 participants, not including the Captain.
