The fun begins when you meet your local Guide and are fitted with a bike and helmet. Once you are ready to roll, you will follow your friendly Tour Guide on an entertaining and informative three-hour tour of Washington. On the Monuments Tour you will hear about DC Monuments and Memorials, exploring in depth the WWII Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Martin Luther King Jr Memorial. During the Capital Sites Bike Tour, you will learn about our Capital’s history and culture, while enjoying views of Capitol Hill, National Mall, Supreme Court, Smithsonian Museums, Memorials, and more. On the Monuments at Night Tour you will be able to enjoy illuminated views of the monuments and memorials.

Capital Sites Bike Tours are typically offered daily March thru December, subject to availability. Tours typically begin at 10:30 AM.

Monuments Bike Tours are typically offered daily March thru December, subject to availability. Tours typically begin at 2:30 PM.

Monuments at Night Bike Tours are typically offered daily April thru Mid-November, subject to availability. Tours typically begin at 6:30 PM April thru October and at 5:30 PM in November.

The Washington DC Guided Bike Tours are 3 to 4 hours in duration, mileage traveled and duration varies depending on the tour selected.

Weather

The DC Bike Tours may be rescheduled by the Guide due to poor weather conditions such as heavy rain or snow. Rain ponchos will be provided if necessary.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably and appropriately for cycling. We recommend that you wear seasonally appropriate clothing, not too loose, and closed-toe shoes. Don't forget your camera!

Additional Information

Tour price includes bike, helmet rental, a snack and a bottle of water. Participants are required to wear helmets at all times, must know how to ride a bike and be 8 years of age or older.

Capital Sites Bike Tour (3 Hours, 7 Miles)
Experience Washington, DC´s history and culture by bike. This tour provides an overview of the city as you bike to and learn about the major sites on and around the National Mall and Capitol Hill, including the Capitol Building, Supreme Court, Smithsonian Museums, World War II Memorial, the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial and more.

Monuments Bike Tour (3 Hours, 4 Miles)
Freedom, fun, monuments, and a breeze. This tour covers the monuments and memorials on the National Mall and Potomac Tidal Basin. Visit the White House, the Washington Monument, the WWII Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and Memorials honoring Jefferson, FDR, Martin Luther King, Lincoln, and Albert Einstein!

Monuments at Night Bike Tour (3 Hours, 4 Miles)
You'll love the evening version of the Monuments tour! Explore the Monuments as the sun sets over D.C. and watch them light up in the night sky.

Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe are not eligible to participate. Children must be accompanied by an adult at least 18 years of age or older at all times. Carriages and trailer tandems are available.

Gratuity for your guide is not included and may be extended following your tour.

Great way to explore the mall

We did this tour right after we arrived in DC. The guides were very knowledgeable and on the bikes we managed to explore all the major monuments on the National Mall in under three hours, which would have been impossible on foot. The bikes are new and well maintained, safety is ensured and water and snacks are provided. It certainly was a great introduction to the city and some of the history of the United States.
