The Sunset Schooner Sails are offered Friday thru Sunday from mid-May through mid-October. Sails typically depart before sunset between 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM depending on the time of year.

The Boston Sunset Sails have a sail length of 2 hours and a total duration of approximately 2½ hours.

Weather

The Boston Sailing Trips take place in all weather, but may be rescheduled by the Captain due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably, flat, non-marking rubber-soled shoes and layers are recommended for this sailing adventure.

Sails take place on the Adirondack III, which is certified for up to 42 guests. Modeled after the 1890s style pilot schooners, the sailboat is 80 feet long over all with a 16 foot beam. This is an all-wooden vessel with a white glass overlay haul. She features teak decks and brilliantly varnished mahogany rails and trimmings as well as 70 foot Douglas Fir masts and just under 2,000 square feet of sails.

The ship is a U.S. Coast Guard certified vessel with U.S. Coast Guard licensed captains. She is equipped with an abundance of life jackets, two well appointed bathrooms and blankets for cool evenings.

Complimentary soda, and water are provided. Beer and wine are available for purchase on board the boat for $6.00 per beverage (price is subject to change). Food is not served during the sail, but passengers are welcome to bring snacks on board, but outside beverages are not permitted.

Gratuity for the Captain and Crew is not included and is appreciated at the end of the cruise.
