Experience a Zip Line Canopy Tour of Colorado’s beautiful San Juan Mountains. This full-day Eco-Tour takes place on 180 private acres of forest surrounded by the magnificent San Juan Mountains of Durango, Co.

You will board the First Class car of Durango & Silverton’s Tall Timber Legend in either Durango or Rockwood. Once aboard the train you enjoy a scenic trip before meeting your Guides who will go over Ziplining before you head out to the course. You and your group will then embark on a five and a half hour adventure on the largest, longest and safest zip line canopy tour course in the World - consisting of 34 platforms, over 24 spans ranging from 56 to 1,400 feet and several unique elements to get into and out of the trees.

During your adventure you will soar over a mile and a quarter of zip line spans and enjoy a four-course gourmet lunch in the trees. A perfect gift for adventure seekers and outdoor enthusiasts alike, this Zip Line Tour is truly a unique Colorado adventure.

The Colorado Canopy Zip Line Tour is offered Tuesday through Saturday mid-May thru mid-October, subject to availability.

Durango Boarding Location Departure Time is 8:15 AM with 10:09 AM arrival. Trains headed to Durango depart the Soaring Center at 3:38 PM and arrive in Durango at 5:30 PM.

Rockwood Boarding Location Departure Time is 9:24 AM with a 10:09 AM arrival. Trains headed to Rockwood depart the Soaring Center at 3:38 PM and arrive in Rockwood at 4:23 PM.

The CO Canopy Tour Zip Line is includes a 5½ hour Canopy Tour with lunch and is typically 8½ to 10 hours in total duration depending upon boarding location.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably in athletic apparel and wear comfortable, rubber-soled, close-toed shoes sturdy shoes. Long pants are recommended. You may also bring a small camera with a wrist strap that can fit in a pocket. Tours take place rain or shine so please bring a hooded rain jacket or rain poncho.

Your ziplining experience includes First Class train transportation to the remote course in Soaring’s private luxury train cars, 5.5 hours of zip lining across 27 zip lines, an eco-tour with Eco Rangers, a four-course gourmet lunch served in the trees, and will take place with the help of Professional Guides and includes all necessary gear.

Participation is restricted to individuals weighing a minimum of 50 lbs and a maximum weight of 265 lbs. Individuals aged 4 to 94 have participated in the zip line canopy tour. Children however must be able to operate independent of their parents on the zipline course.

Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe (such as heart problems) are not eligible to participate. There will be some hiking on steep elevations and the course is not designed for anyone that cannot climb stairs. Physically, anyone who is able to walk, sit in a harness, climb stairs, stand for periods of time and do some uphill hiking in a forest can participate. Sky Rangers handle all equipment, so mild upper body strength is all you need for gripping.

No climbing or zipline experience is necessary. The facility is not wheelchair accessible. All smoking, including vapor cigarette devices and any other smoking paraphernalia is prohibited on the train, course and at Soaring Tree Top Adventures.

Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.
