Experience the thrill of Massachusetts' best Zip Line Canopy Tour and enjoy the green foliage and spectacular hardwood and pine forest of the Deerfield Valley. Located in Charlemont, Massachusetts, this three-hour outdoor adventure is the perfect experience gift for thrill seekers!

Your unique aerial Zip Line Experience begins with a short registration followed by an orientation session, equipment fitting and a practice zip line. Once ready, your professional Guides will lead you and the rest of the group to the first platform from which you will zip into the trees. Your lead Guide will cross first to the next platform where they will be waiting to catch you as you zip across from one platform to the next. Throughout the Canopy Tour, you will traverse through the forest by means of zip lines, cables and sky bridges that sit up to 50 feet above the forest floor!

Experience first-hand the feeling of the crisp, clean air whipping past your face and enjoy the amazing views of the great New England outdoors. The Zip Line Tours are offered up to seven days a week, April thru November, subject to availability. Tours typically begin between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

How Long Is It

The Western Massachusetts Zip Line Tours include a 2 hour registration and orientation, a 10 minute 4x4 ride to the course, and 1 hour of ziplining. The total duration is approximately 3½ hours.

Weather

The Canopy Tours take place rain or shine. Tours may be rescheduled by the Guide in the event of high winds, lightning or other inclement weather.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably in athletic apparel and wear rubber-soled, close-toed shoes. Longer shorts or pants are recommended for keeping the harness from irritating skin. Long hair must be tied back. Sunglasses with a strap are suggested. During Fall wool and long underwear are recommended and in the winter ski coats, ski pants and ski goggles are recommended.

The 3-hour zip line canopy tour is an adventure-filled trek through the treetops by means of 11 zip lines, 2 sky bridges, 3 rappels and 3 short hikes. Your ziplining experience will take place with the help of two Professional Guides and includes all necessary gear.

Participants must be a minimum of 10 years old, and weigh between 70 to 250 lbs. Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

All participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate.

Guide Gratuities are not included and can be extended following your outdoor adventure.

All changes to reservations for the Deerfield Valley Zipline Canopy Tour Experience require thirty-five (35) days advance notice. All changes to reservations are subject to a $30 fee.

Question: Is there a weight limit to zipline?

Answer: Yes. The maximum weight is 250lbs and the minimum is 70lbs.
Question: My daughter would like to have a zip line birthday. Can the kids go zip lining while my husband and I hike?

Answer: All participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Question: I received a certificate for a zipline tour in Deerfield Valley for my birthday but I'm afraid of heights. How high are the lines?

Answer: The highest zipline is 50ft, or about 5 stories high. Zip lining is very safe and you will be harnessed at all times.
Question: Are we allowed to bring a camera on the tour?

Answer: Yes, but you should have strap at all times. You'll be able to take pictures in between some of the lines.
Question: We were given this gift and will have to travel a little ways to get there. Is there lodging, or better yet, camping in the area?

Answer: Yes. The tour operator offers cabins, yurts and campsites.
