Learn to fly a plane during this Northern Virginia Aviation Adventure! Throughout this hands-on flying lesson, you'll have the opportunity to take the controls and pilot a Cessna 172 M over beautiful Virginia.

The one hour flight lesson kicks off at your choice of one of four Airports with a full 30 minute briefing from your Certified Flight Instructor. The CFI will explain all safety procedures as well as the flying techniques used in light aircraft flying. When the briefing is done, it’s time to climb aboard the Cessna and take your place in the co-pilot’s seat. After pre-flight checks, your instructor will taxi down the runway and perform take-off maneuvers; then it’s your turn to take the controls and actually fly the plane! Take in the incredible views below and get a real feel for flying.

Participation in the Discovery Introductory Flying Lesson In Northern Virginia is limited to individuals weighing less than 235lbs. Individuals, who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate.

All participants must have a valid Government Issued Photo ID (Passport or Driver's License). Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.
