Perfect for all levels, this Cooking Class is a recipe for fun! Throughout the hands-on cooking class, you will have the opportunity to learn gourmet techniques and tips as you create an authentic Italian meal. From knife skills to ingredient selection, you and your fellow foodies will have an opportunity to interact with the Chef, ask questions as you work together to create an Italian feast.

After the cooking lesson is complete, you will all sit down and savor the creations du’jour together. Whether you are a novice in the kitchen or a seasoned home chef, this Connecticut Cooking Class is a wonderful experience gift to share!

The Cucina Casalinga Italian Cooking Class Xperience CertificateĀ® is for two participants. There will be additional participants in the culinary class.

The Hands-on Cooking Classes are offered on select weekdays and weekends, year-round, subject to availability. Classes typically beginning at 10:30 AM and 6:30 PM.

Duration
The Connecticut Culinary Lessons have a class length of 3 hours and a total duration of approximately 3Ā½ hours.

Weather
The Italian Cooking Class take place in all weather conditions.

What to wear
Dress Comfortably. Please do not wear open-toed shoes or sandals.

Additional Information
Classes are held in Chef Sally Maraventano kitchen, a fun and relaxed environment for adults to learn cooking techniques and taste their own creations. Sally Maraventano studied Italian language and culture at Georgetown University's School of Languages and Linguistics and the University of Florence, Italy. She is the founder of Cucina Casalinga, since 1981, a regional Italian cooking school based in Wilton, Connecticut. For over twenty years, Ms. Maraventano, a member of International Association of Culinary Professionals, has specialized in teaching "homestyle" Italian cooking in her popular daytime and evening adult classes. Chef Maraventano was featured in "La Dolce Vita", a segment describing her Italian family recipes and memories on The Food Network's "In Food Today". She has made guest appearances on the "NBC Weekend Today Show" and on Connecticut Cable Television's "The Exchange". She frequently makes appearances at national and local bookstores to discuss her Italian heritage and recipes and personally autograph her book.
