The New Orleans Dinner and Music Cruises are available 7 days a week year round, subject to availability. Cruises typically board at 6:00 PM, Depart at 7:00 PM and Dock at 9:00 PM.

The New Orleans Dinner and Jazz Harbor Cruises have a sail time of 2 hours and a total duration of approximately 3 hours.

Weather

The New Orleans Dinner and Jazz Cruises take place in all weather conditions, but may be rescheduled if the Captain or Coast Guard determines the weather is too sever. There is plenty seating available indoors and under covered decks.

Dressy Casual attire is recommended. Jeans, sneakers, t-shirts or men's sandals are not permitted.

Price includes tax, gratuity, a buffet style dinner, water, coffee and tea. Additional snacks and beverages are available to purchase onboard. The boat has a full wine list, domestic and local beers, and cocktails.

Cruises feature the world renowned Dukes of Dixieland Jazz Band. The boat has Smart phone signage on decks for self-guided boat tours and a Museum quality Steam Engine Room open to visitors.

Great Cruise/dinner

From the boarding process, dinner seating, dinner service and the overall Cruise we experienced warm friendly staff that were a pleasure to deal with. The buffet dinner was delicious with a quick service. The band played on the upper outside deck was very enjoyable as we sat on the deck enjoying the glorious sunset on the return let to the dock. We visited the engine room, which was a very enlighting experience for my teenagers to see the operation in action.

Question: Is there any parking near the docks?

Answer: Yes, there are plenty of paid parking lots on Decatur Street that offer hourly rates.
Question: Is there a dress code for the Dinner Cruise in New Orleans?

Answer: "Dressy Casual" is recommended, You don't need a tie but sneakers, jeans and a t-shirt are not recommended and you'll feel under-dressed.
Question: We were given the New Orleans Dinner Cruise as a gift, but my girlfriend is a vegetarian. Will there be options on the buffet for her?

Answer: Yes. The buffet usually will have 4 or 5 vegetarian options. Unfortunately, however, they cannot accommodate a vegan, kosher or gluten free diet.
Question: Do they serve alcohol on the ship?

Answer: They offer wine and specialty drinks for purchase.
Question: I am interested in purchasing this for my parents wedding anniversary. Will dinner service be held inside or outside?

Answer: The steamboat offers both indoor and outdoor seating.
Question: Does the New Orleans Dinner Cruise take place on an actual Steamboat or is it just a mockup with paddle wheels and powered by a modern engine? When was the ship built?

Answer: The Steamboat was built in 1975 and is a true steam powered ship, one of only 2 on the Mississippi today. It combines the best of contemporary construction, safety, and comfort standards with all the authenticity and style of her classic steamboat gothic predecessors.
