Learn the secret to taking the perfect snapshot as you stroll along Milwaukee’s lakefront during this two-hour Wisconsin Photo Tour. Throughout this unique adventure, you will learn how to creatively focus your lens and fill your composition over the course of this quarter-mile scenic photography tour.

The fun begins when you meet with your friendly and knowable Guide in the Historic Third Ward. Here they will provide you with camera tips and proven techniques as you learn how to capture the beauty of Milwaukee’s Public Market, Scenic RiverWalk, Wisconsin Avenue, Art Museum, lakefront and more! You are sure to find plenty of inspiration throughout this sightseeing tour as you learn a bit about the history and architecture of downtown Milwaukee.

The Milwaukee Photo Tours are offered Friday afternoons June thru September, subject to availability. Tours typically begin at 1:00 PM.

This Photo Tour suitable participants at any skill level with any kind of camera, film or digital. Guests are required to bring their own cameras on this adventure. If using a film camera, guest must bring their own film. Cameras nor film will be provided for this experience.

Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Food and beverage is not included on this photo tour, but you may bring your own.

Gratuities are not included but are greatly appreciated and may be offered at the end of the event.

Question: I'd like to give an Experience Days certificate for the Photography Tour of Milwaukee to a friend, but I'm not sure if he has a film or digital camera. Does it matter?

Answer: No. The tour provides a hands-on learning experience for participants to explore Milwaukee visually and to expand the ways in which they think creatively. Some people have taken the tour with disposable cameras and they've actually had a few take the tour with no camera at all!
Question: I received a nice camera and the Milwaukee photography tour from my wife, but I have no experience. Will I be in over my head?

Answer: The tour is designed for participants of all skill levels. The tour provides an opportunity for both experienced and novice photographers alike to expand their creative vision. If you wish to learn more about your particular camera, there will be plenty of time for you to ask questions along the way.
Question: Is this tour handicapped accessible?

Answer: Unfortunately, because of the terrain and pace, it is not handicapped accessible.
Question: What happens if it rains? Will we be refunded or rescheduled?

Answer: The tours are held rain, snow or shine. All Experience Days certificates are non-refundable. In the rare occasion that the tour is cancelled for extreme weather, you will be rescheduled directly by the tour company.
Question: Where does the tour start? Does it start and end in the same place?

Answer: The start of the tour is subject to change. The tour ends about a mile from where it starts. Your tour guide will be happy to give you directions back to the start. If you don't wish to walk you can take a taxi, pedicab or bus back.
Question: Are the any bathroom, rest or shopping breaks?

Answer: There is a 10 to 15 minute break about halfway through the tour. Bathrooms are available and you will have the opportunity to rest. While you'll be close to the market, the tour company requests that you wait until after the tour to shop so that you don't hold back the group.
Question: How strenuous is the tour? How far do we walk?

Answer: You will be walking or standing pretty much continuously, with one 10 to 15 minute break in the middle. Over 2 hours you cover about 1.5 miles. But they will cater to the group.
