Have you always wanted to learn to Dance? Then this private introductory Dance Lesson is the perfect experience gift! This 45 minute lesson provides you and your guest with the opportunity to work one-on-one with a professional Instructor to make your dance goals an exciting reality.

The fun begins at the dance studio located in Bethesda, MD. Here you will meet with your professional dance Instructor who will help you learn all of the right moves to your selected dance and music choice. Private lessons are recommended for students of all levels! From Ballroom to Latin, Swing to Salsa and more, you can choose to learn the dance style you’ve always dreamed of. Before you know it, you and your partner will be moving in step together as you dance like the Stars!

So whether you are preparing for your wedding, a dance competition, a performance or special event, this private Dance Lesson is your ticket to wow everyone on the floor and makes a great date night activity or unique gift for your dance partner!

The Dance Lessons are offered seven days a week, year-round subject to availability. Monday through Friday lessons can be scheduled between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM, and Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

How Long Is It

The DC Metro Dance Instruction includes a 45 minute lesson and has a total duration of approximately 1 hour.

The Private Dance Lessons take place in all weather conditions.

What To Wear

Comfortable clothing that is easy to move in and not too warm. Shoes should be leather or suede soled. Rubber soled and athletic shoes should not be worn.

Lessons are taught by professional dancer Michael Rye. Michael has been dancing since the age of 5, developing his dance skills in the disciplines of classical ballet, jazz, tap, ballroom, Latin, salsa and swing and is recognized internationally as one of Australia's leading Professional Ballroom Dancers.

Michael has lectured, taught and adjudicated dancing throughout the world. Since arriving in the United States in April 2002, Michael has continued his successful career as a performer, choreographer and teacher of dancing. Michael has been placed in the top 6 dance coaches at various competitions throughout the United States; and with his partner, he has performed shows throughout the Washington D.C area, in Alabama and New York, demonstrating the style and techniques of both International and American dancing.

Question: This dance lesson is for two people can just one person sign up an go?

Answer: The Private Dance Lesson In Washington D.C. Experience Certificate is suitable for one participant or for one couple. This is a private experience.
Question: Don't I need a partner?

Answer: If you choose to take this class alone you won't need a dance partner. They have classes designed for 1 person and if you'd like to learn a dance that requires a partner your instructor will be your partner.
Question: Does the DC Metro Private Dance Lesson offer wedding consultation? I'd like to buy it for my brother and his fiance.

Answer: Absolutely! This is a private dance lesson and the price is the same for either one person or two. Be sure to let him know to bring his wedding song and it's also a good idea to have the size and specs of the dance floor at his wedding reception venue. Once he makes his reservation he will be given all of the dance school's contact information. He may want to contact them before the lesson if he has any specific questions.
Question: Is there a Metro Station close to the studio?

Answer: Yes, exact location details will be provided with your confirmation letter from Experience Days, however the White Flint location is the closest station to the school.
Question: We'd like to learn to Swing Dance. Are the couple's lessons geared specifically for wedding couples?

Answer: No, this is a private lesson and you can choose what kind of dance you'll learn.
Question: I'm not sure after just one class I'll be ready to show off my moves at the club. Do you have any suggestions about where I can practice?

Answer: The studio actually holds dance parties on select Fridays. It's a perfect place to practice your new dance moves. These are social events and not lessons so if you decide to come alone you'll be able to find a partner. The best part is most of the people there are also taking beginning dance lessons so there is no need to feel self-conscious. Be sure to ask about them after your class.
