The fun begins when you and your guest meet with the Pilot in Temecula Valley Wine Country just miles from Los Angeles and San Diego. You will then have the opportunity to aid in the unpacking and inflating of the balloon’s envelope. Once fully inflated, the two of you will climb into the balloon's basket and get ready for your scenic airborne adventure to begin. The Temecula Private Champagne Balloon Ride has a flight time of approximately 1 hour and a total duration of approximately 3 hours.

Weather

The Temecula Private Hot Air Balloon Flight experience is dependent on favorable weather, and can only fly when the conditions are safe. Flights may be rescheduled by the Pilot due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably, flat rubber-soled shoes and layers are recommended for this open air adventure.

Participation in the Hot Air Balloon is limited to individuals weighing less than 225lbs, between 4' and 6'5" tall and at least 8 years of age

Participants must be able to stand for a minimum of 90 minutes. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to flight.

Question: How does the pilot steer a Hot Air Balloon?

Answer: Winds blow in different directions at different altitudes. The pilot can essentially "steer" the balloon by ascending and descending until he finds the current and direction he is looking for.
Question: I purchased the Private Balloon flight over Temecula and would like to propose to my girlfriend on the flight. Is there a way I can request that the pilot fly over my house so I can lay out a "Will You Marry Me" sign?

Answer: Unfortunately the balloon cannot really be steered and relies on the wind for direction. You may luck out and get the wind you're hoping for but we cannot guarantee it. On another note, if you're going to present a ring you may want to use a "dummy" ring and give her the real one on the ground. Even the most sparkling diamond is difficult to find from 1500 feet!!
Question: I'm not really a morning person. Do they ever offer mid day flights?

Answer: No. the reason Hot Air Balloons are only offered at sunrise and sunset is because they are extremely sensitive to winds and even rely on the them to steer. During the middle of the day the sun creates thermal winds which can be dangerous to fly in.
