All aboard for an evening of entertainment! This experience gift is your chance to enjoy a tasty three hour sightseeing cruise on the Potomac River.

The excitement begins when you and your guest board the Spirit of Washington at Pier 6 and Water Streets. Here you will be greeted by the friendly Captain and Crew. Once on board, you will be escorted to your dinner table. You may then order a cocktail from your Server or take the opportunity to explore the ship's decks. Once underway, you will be invited to the Dinner Buffet where you may enjoy as much as you’d like. From fresh crisp salads to the carvery, savory mains and side dishes, there is something on the menu for everyone! After desert, take a spin on the dance floor or a stroll on the deck and enjoy the amazing views of the Nation's Capital.

The Dinner Cruises may be held dockside by the Captain or the Coast Guard due to severe weather conditions.

What To Wear

Business Casual attire is suggested. Appropriate attire for men includes slacks and a polo or button down shirt, and nice pants or a dress for women. T-shirts, casual jeans, shorts, and sneakers are strongly discouraged. Designer jeans are acceptable.

Dinner Cruise Review

The experience overall was very nice. It was raining and cold so that put a bit of damper on things. I'd say in this case to have individuals out with umbrellas for guests getting out of cars not everyone had an umbrella. The food was very good, but not a big fan of the buffet style with so many people and nice attire. It was a bit crowded and really noisy. The person on the PA system (2 level) seemed to be 'eating' the mic, because it was hard to hear/ understand him. It was very fun though and would recommend it to friends!

We booked this event to celebrate our 2nd Anniversary and also to get a chance to see the Potomac from the water. If you look at the pictures of the ship, it looks like there should not be a seat in house without an excellent view. That is not the case, we were seated at a table facing a mirror. We then sat and watched while the staff took drink orders for all the tables except ours. It was not until we asked the manager if we would be served. He appologized and informed us that our table was mistakingly left of the list. He did eventually wait on us himself. The food was o.k., however, the entertainment was very good. Overall the experience was o.k. but we will not do it again.

I took my hubby on his birthday. The food was ok, the service was excellent !!! I just loved the staff, the waiter waiterisess .. .they were absolutely great with us. The music and dancing part also fun. Although we dont drink, the drinks also looked good (adding this for the sake of people who do). The drinking-people were really enjoying themselves. So I will recommend this one.

We had a greeat time at on the Spirit of Washington. It was our 2nd Anniversary and the staff was great! Everyone was polite and professional. They acted like they enjoyed their job and made us feel special. We're definiately going to do this again before the year is out. I'll recommend this to everyone on my job. Question: Does the ship have wheelchair access?

Answer: Yes. Spirit has a deck and restrooms that can accommodate most standard-sized wheelchairs. Be sure to let us know if you have a person in your party that uses a wheelchair so they can be seated on the main deck. You can make notes in the comments field under your date selection.
Question: What are the boarding procedures like?

Answer: You will be subject to a search. In order to expedite the boarding process they ask that you do not bring any unnecessary bags on board and please make sure that all gifts are in gift bags or unwrapped for easy screening.
Question: I would like to surprise my girlfriend with this Cruise for our anniversary. Will we have to share a table?

Answer: With tables for two, four, six and eight the crew will do their best to seat you at your own table, but it is not guaranteed. Especially if the Cruise is near or at maximum capacity.
Question: I will be taking my wife on this Cruise this weekend, but there is rain in the forecast. Will the Cruise be cancelled for poor weather?

Answer: The cabins are fully enclosed and climate controlled so the cruise will run rain or shine. In rare cases of extreme weather that the Coast Guard will not allow the ship to sail in the Harbor, dinner will be held dockside.
Question: I'd like to purchase the Potomac River Dinner Cruise for our anniversary but my wife's gluten-free. Will they be able to accommodate her?

Answer: While they offer gluten and allergy free products and gluten sensitive menu items, the galley openly handles flour. Precautions are taken to keep ingredients separate but they cannot guarantee a gluten free environment. There is not separate prep surfaces, cook tops or equipment.
