This exhilarating experience gift is your chance to raft one of the most exciting rivers in Maine - the Kennebec!  A great way to enjoy the outdoors and experience the thrill of the water first-hand, this full-day Whitewater Rafting Trip includes lunch as well as Class III & IV fun!

The day begins in West Forks where you will meet with your friendly and experienced guide. Here you will be fitted with all necessary gear and be given an over view of the fun that lies ahead. Once the group is ready, you will head out to the put-in location at Harris Dam. Throughout the day you will learn to work together as a team to negotiate Rock Garden, Big Mama, White Washer and the infamous Magic Falls rapids.

As you navigate the Rapids of the Kennebec, you will soon discover why this is the most rafted river in the State! So whether you are looking for fun things to do in New England or for a unique gift, this Kennebec Rafting Adventure is the ticket!

Participants
The Kennebec River Whitewater Rafting Experience Gifts Certificate is valid for one participant, unless additional participants are added onto the certificate. You will be joined by five or six additional participants in the raft.

The Kennebec River Rafting is offered select days a week July thru August, subject to availability. Trips typically meet for check in at 8:30 AM.

The Kennebec River Whitewater Rafting Trips are approximately 6 hours in duration.

Weather

The Kennebec River Rafting Trips may be rescheduled due to high winds, heavy rain or other inclement weather, and low water levels. All decisions to cancel, move, or postpone scheduled trips will be made by the Guide on the day of the reservation.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably, and bring a change of clothing. Recommended items include a water bottle, swimsuit, shorts, t-shirt, a fleece or jacket, outdoor sandals or non-slip sneakers, sunglasses or hat and sunscreen. Flip flops are not permitted and cotton clothing is not suggested. Early and late season trips recommend bringing gloves, a hat and a waterproof jacket.

Your rafting experience will take place with a Professional Guide and includes lunch plus all rafting gear: helmet, PFD, and paddle. Lunch served is typically Steak, Chicken BBQ with Pasta Salad, Baked Beans and Garden Salad. Veggie burgers are available upon request (also gluten free option).

Price includes a $6 fee per person to cover road access to the river and a levy paid to the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife.

Participants are advised to be well rested. Please avoid drinking alcohol 24 hours prior to the scheduled experience. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions such as heart or lung conditions, severe asthma, back problems, recent surgery, obesity or osteoporosis or any other condition which is considered unsafe are not eligible to participate.

The recommended minimum age for participants is 10 years old.

Gratuities for your tour guide are not included but are greatly appreciated and may be offered at the end of the event.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form. Participants under the age of 18 must have a signed release form from his or her parent or legal guardian.
