The Glass Blowing Class in Baltimore is offered Tuesday thru Sunday, year-round, subject to availability. Classes can be scheduled between 12:00 PM and 9:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday and between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM on Sundays.

Classes are held at McFadden Art Glass in Baltimore, MD. It is an open studio and learning center for people interested in glass fusing and lampworking. Classes are offered for glass enthusiasts and artists of different skill levels looking to make, learn, play with and shop for functional and decorative glass artwork.

Classes are inclusive of all instruction and materials. No experience necessary.

Participants are required to sign a liability release form prior to the start of class.

All changes to reservations for the Baltimore Glass Blowing Class Experience require seven (7) days advance notice.

Surprise Date!!!

My husband surprised me with this date and it was great!!! We had so much fun. I was very nervous but the artist did a great job explaining, helping and keeping us safe from the extreme heat. We made stemless wine glasses. We'll def do this again. I've already invited friends!

A Unique Experience

My husband and I attended this class with a friend, and we each made our own glass piece. A very friendly and knowledgeable staff made sure that we were having fun while learning the fundamentals of glass blowing. We ended our experience by walking through the owner's studio and marveling at some beautiful and unique pieces of glass artwork.This class would definitely make a great Christmas, birthday or anniversary gift!

Great experience

It was very interesting and enjoyable to learn how to manipulate glass. I understand the dangers, but I would have liked to have been able to do more by myself. I'd have rather had a screwed up piece of glass that I made than a perfect piece of glass made by a pro that I just got to touch the tools while making. Also, while Eli was quite enjoyable, Barb's sullen superiority took a lot of the fun out of the day.

This was one of the best classes I have ever taken. I was allowed to collect the glass, shape it and reheat the glass, etc. I made 3 glass pieces. The instructors were really awesome and patient. They took the time to explain everything and show me exactly what had to be done. I would recommend this class to anyone who is interested in art and would like to try something new.

Fun with glass!

I was given a thorough safety lesson before starting , twice. Did a progression of objects to my final piece. It was very friendly with all who were in assistance. I was made comfortable every step of the way. Wish I could do it again, but I will be moving soon. Would recommend it for those who don't mind sweating for their art! They had very reasonable prices on pieces for sale. I will remember my time very fondly!

The glass blowing class that I attended was amazing! I learned so much in a two hour span of time. Having a one on one experience made it easy to become comfortable with the processes involved with blowing glass. I was able to make a few items that turned out looking very professional. Question: Do you get to keep the art work you create?

Answer: Yes, you will be able to keep the art work that you choose to create.
Question: I see they offer to teach you to create a variety of different kinds of glass in the Baltimore class. From ornaments to vases to drinking glasses etc. If I pick a date, how do I know what they'll be teaching in that class?

Answer: This is a private lesson so you get to decide what you want to make!
Question: Will I need to purchase supplies at an additional cost once I get there?

Answer: All supplies are included. Just be sure to wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting messy. Open toed shoes are NOT permitted.
Question: Hello, I am interested in purchasing vouchers for the Baltimore Glass Blowing Class for my brother and his girlfriend. Are they able to book this class together?

Answer: Yes, the Glass Instructor will allow two participants to schedule this art class together if they choose. You would simply need to purchase two Experience Gifts Certificates, one for each participant.
Question: Aside for duration, what’s the difference between the one, two, and three hour classes?

Answer: The only difference between the glass blowing classes is the amount of time you will have to learn the skill and work on projects, and the number of items you will be able to make and take home.
Question: I would like to come with my daughter and 8 year old grand daughter. Is there an age requirement?

Answer: The minimum age requirement for participation and attendance for the Baltimore Glassblowing Class is 11 years of age.
