The Paddleboarding Lessons are offered seven days a week May thru September, subject to availability. Lessons are typically scheduled to begin between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

How Long Is The Charlotte Paddleboarding Lesson

The Paddle Boarding Lesson includes 1 hour of instruction and has a total duration of approximately 2 hours.

Does Weather Impact Outdoor Activity Gifts

The SUP Lesson may be rescheduled by the Instructor due to poor weather conditions.

What to Wear for Outdoor Activity Gifts

Dress comfortably in swimwear. Sun glasses, sunscreen, a towel, water bottle and a change of clothing is recommended.

What To Know Before You Go

Price includes tax and all equipment (Paddle board, Paddle, and PFD).

Participants must weigh between 50 and 250 lbs, be in reasonably good health and be able to stand up from a kneeling position with only the ground as assistance. Participants must be at least 8 years of age and be able to swim. Participants under 18 years old must be accompanied by parent or guardian.

Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate.

Paddleboard and Paddle are provided. Life jackets are also provided and must be worn at all times. All participants must sign a liability waiver prior to participation.

Gratuities are not included but are greatly appreciated and may be offered at the end of the event.

Questions about Paddleboarding Charlotte

Question: I'd like to give the Charlottoe Paddleboarding Lesson as a gift and don't want them to have to a pay extra to use the certificate. Is the Paddleboard rental included in the lesson price?

Answer: Yes, the lesson includes paddleboard, paddle and life jacket.
Question: Do I need to know how to swim to take the lesson?

Answer: Yes, even though you'll be wearing a lifejacket, and may not be in the water at all, all participants are required to know how to swim.
Question: What happens if it rains on the day I'm scheduled?

Answer: The paddleboarding company will reschedule the lesson with you at a mutually convenient date.
Question: I'd like to give my teenage son a private paddleboard lesson for his birthday. Is there a minimum age requirement?

Answer: Lessons can be taken as young as 8. Everyone will sign a liability waiver and, if the participant is under 18, it will have to be signed by a parent or guardian.
Question: Are there alligators in Lake Norman where this takes place?

Answer: Alligators are native to North Carolina but Lake Norman is very far inland (beyond the normal alligator habitat), but it isn't impossible for alligators to wander. Alligators have not been seen by anyone taking part in the paddleboard lessons.
