Capture Charletson’s fascinating history and develop your photography skills on a three hour camera tuition tour around the area’s landmarks.

During this three hour tour you’ll travel in a comfortable Sprinter van between different Charleston sights. Your first stop is atmospheric Morris Island lighthouse which sits on the edge of Folly Island in the middle of the ocean. From there, you’ll visit Folly Beach pier, and the historic Citadel Military Academy north of Charleston, known for its iconic castle style architecture. At Fort Multrie, you’ll view the sight where the first shots of the Revolutionary and Civil Wars were shot, and get a great view over the city. Along the way your guide, a professional photographer, will give you hints and tips on different camera techniques including black and white photography, long range pictures, and even the perfect selfie.

This photography around Charleston is a brilliant way to experience some lesser known parts of the city and makes a perfect experience gift for amateur photographers.

The Charleston Photography Tours are offered five days a week year-round, subject to availability. Tours typically begin at 8:30 AM, 11:00AM and 1:00 PM.

What To Wear

You can wear whatever you like to your photography tour. It is suggested that you dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.

Please arrive 10 minutes early.

You will be provided with umbrellas if it is raining.

You will be provided with bottled water and a small snack. Feel free to bring your own food if you would like. There is plenty of time in between stops to snack in the van.
